As the 2026 election season gets underway, local Westcliffe resident Jennifer James has announced a bid for Colorado Senate District 4, as the current Senator, Mark Baisley, is running for the U.S. Senate this year. In a press release sent to the Tribune, James states, “I am Jennifer James, a semi-retired healthcare provider and transplant from the conservative state of Wyoming.
