Project OverviewThe Colorado Department of Transportation and its contract partner, United Companies, have scheduled a highway resurfacing project on Colorado Highway 69 from Hillside to Texas Creek, north of Westcliffe. Work will include resurfacing the northbound and southbound lanes, constructing a maintenance pull-off, installing new guardrails to meet updated safety standards, new striping and signage, and bridge deck repairs at MP 77. This work will occur from MP 71.5, 12 miles north of Westcliffe, to MP 82.6 just south of US Highway 50. Resurfacing prolongs the life of the road surface and upgraded guardrail systems will increase safety through this stretch of highway.
