The Day the Music (Man) Died Robert “Colorado Bob” Reed, 75, died of cardiac arrest on April 20, 2026, in Corpus Christi. Born November 14, 1950, in Denver, he spent his life rooted in Colorado’s mountains, music, and community. He was married to his wife, Carolyn, for 38 years, and together they made their home in Westcliffe, Colorado, for the last 13 years. Bob earned a B.S. in Psychology from Colorado State University in 1972 and a Master of Telecommunications from the University of Denver in 1994.
