“Bernie Day” remembrance Saturday, June 28

A remembrance gathering for Bernard G. Hutterer, who passed away on March 14, will be held on Saturday, June 28, in Silver Cliff. Bernie lived in the Valley for 49 years. He developed quite a reputation as a fine woodworker and craftsman. He was an avid fly fisherman and hiked up to the high mountain lakes every chance he got. “Bernie Day” will start at 9 a.m. with a hike up Swift Creek to distribute ashes at the beaver ponds, as was his wish. It is about a two-mile hike. We will meet at Gibson Creek Trailhead, located up Ute Mesa. We will proceed slowly to accommodate anyone who wants to join us.
