Annual Kids Triathlon returns May 19

The Annual Kids Triathlon is set to take place on Tuesday, May 19, at 8:30 a.m., bringing together 81 local youth participants for a morning of fitness, fun, and community spirit. This year’s event has been moved to the morning to help participants avoid the heat of the day.

The triathlon will begin with the swim portion at Altitude Community Fitness, followed by a bike ride to the school, and will conclude with a run on the track. Awards will be presented at the track after all participants have finished.

More than just a one-day event, the Kids Triathlon is a comprehensive program designed to support youth health and confidence:

• Free 7-week swim lessons began April 2 and continue every Thursday.

• Partnership with Patrick from A Bicycle Charity Foundation, who provided free bikes to children in need on April 3.

• An upcoming Bike Clinic on May 16, to help kids build skills and confidence.

• All participants receive a free event t-shirt, snacks, water, and awards, making this a truly inclusive and accessible event for local families.

This event is about much more than race day. It’s about giving kids the tools, support, and encouragement to be active, build confidence, and have fun.

The organizers extend their heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, partners, and the entire community whose support makes this event possible each year.

Community members are encouraged to come out and cheer on the kids!
