In Memory of Betty Heising

Betty Heising, 88, of Fair Oaks, California, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 18. Born on August 21, 1937, in Petersburg, Michigan, Betty lived a full and meaningful life defined by love, strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.

A dedicated educator, Betty spent more than 60 years teaching and supporting children with special needs. Her compassion, patience, and belief in the potential of every child touched countless lives over the decades. Colleagues and students alike remember her as a mentor who led with her heart and taught with profound understanding.

Betty’s pride and joy was her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her sons Kyle and Craig Heising survive her. Their bond was one of shared laughter, resilience, and unconditional support. Whether organizing family gatherings, cheering for her favorite teams, or relaxing by the water with a fishing pole in hand; her greatest joys were found in life’s simplest, meaningful moments.

Betty was an active member of the Catholic Church, finding peace and purpose in her faith. She lived in accordance with the teachings of kindness, service, and humility, always ready to lend a helping hand or a comforting word to those in need.

Betty will be remembered as a loving and caring woman whose strength and pride in her family guided everything she did. Although no formal services will be held per Betty’s request, those who knew her are encouraged to honor her memory in their own way—through acts of compassion, time spent with loved ones, and a quiet appreciation for the blessings of life
