On Monday, May 5, the Custer County School District posted an agenda online for the regular meeting on Tuesday, May 5, which was listed under action items: āApproval of Resignation of Brad Davis, Board Vice President.
The resignation comes during turmoil in the school district as the board has been working secretly since February to attempt to pressure Superintendent Thom Peck to resign. At least one of these meetings allegedly violated the Colorado Open Meeting Law on February 11, according to a lawsuit filed on April 16.
Davis had been appointed to the board last year after several board resignations followed the ousting of Superintendent Jacki Crabtree in early 2024.
At this time, the Tribune is requesting the resignation letter or email that was sent to the rest of the board, and we have requested comment from Board President Reggi Foster.
Updates will be published as they become available.
