VALI Home Care up and running to serve the Wet Mountain Valley Region

As if on cue to be in harmony with the season of good cheer, the VALI Assisted Living Board of Directors has announced a name addition. The facility and program are now officially known as “VALI Assisted Living and Assisted Home Care.” VALI Staff member Rene Flynn who has been with VALI for almost seven years in a supervisory capacity, now directs the recently established community service.

VALI Home Care provides in-home assistance for ADL—Activities of Daily Living—for persons of all ages, is state licensed, and approved for Medicaid and Medicare; private pay is also an option for the services.

ADL includes bathing, hair care, personal care, dressing, meals, laundry, general cleaning, protective oversight, medication reminders, and shopping. To inquire about, or request, the services call VALI at 719-783-4401, visit the facility at 30 Main Street, Silver Cliff, or check out www.valiassistedliving.com.

VALI Administrator Candra Terrell says, “We know there is a lot of need in Custer County for home care services, and we want to get the word out that these are available through VALI…And I want to give a shout out to our Home Care team, they are terrific and doing a great job!”

Long acknowledged throughout264 the community as a gap needing to be filled in aging-in-place services, the gap is now filled. As noted, though, the services are available to all ages; “You don’t need to be a senior,” Terrell makes clear, to avail yourself of the program.

Just in time for the winter holidays, family members are encouraged to be in touch with VALI to meet family needs during this joyous, and very busy, season.
