Cynthia May Fraley, 75, of Cañon City, Colorado, passed away on October 19, 2023. She was born on May 22, 1948, in Syracuse, Kansas. Cindy pursued a career in cosmetology, earning a Certificate in Cosmetology and working in the Denver area with Michael Taylor at Antoine Du Chez. She worked for many years in Antigo, WI, as a cosmetologist at Mode Salon and was loved by many in that community. Cindy was also a talented photographer in Antigo, where she photographed weddings, high school senior graduates, and highlighted her favorite subject, her daughter Holly. She had a passion for plants, interior design, and gardening and knew how to make the world around her POP! Her family and friends will miss her greatly.
She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which was a church she felt very close to for most of her adult life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Delores Pilcher, father Hank Nickerson, daughter Holly Spangler, husband Pete Fraley, grandson Alex Spangler, and cousin Paula Watson.
She is survived by her sisters, Yvonne (Ron) Small and Jeanette (Ward) Weller, and was a loving aunt and great aunt to the Small children and grandchildren, sons Ronald D (Barbara) Beckner and Adam (Stephanie) Spangler, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on November 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and family are invited to gather and commemorate Cynthia’s life during this service.
