There is no time more magical for kids than when they first learn to care for and ride a horse. This summer, A Painted View Ranch is offering kids the opportunity to learn and to care for, plus learn to ride, horses as part of its yearly Kids Camp.
Conveniently located on the Valley floor just west of Westcliffe, children ages 6 -12 can come to learn all about horses and have a hands-on experience learning about the care of animals, basic anatomy, safety, and even riding! This weeklong class runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. starting Monday, June 5 and ending on Friday, June 9. A light snack is included.
Kids will be taught by experienced horse trainers and on gentle horses that have years of experience around children.
The cost of the camp is only $250.00 for the week. However, it is important to act fast as spots are limited and preregistration required.
There is also a second class that runs from August 7 through 11. Call A Painted View Ranch Director Ashten Hutton for information at 719-371-4542 and to register.
