The Valley floor seems to attract some great artists, and one artist has decided to not just use the Valley for inspiration, but to place a gallery in an old restored tack shed on Macey Lane.
Kim Faiella will be holding the first TACK Gallery August Art Show on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 at 4456 CR 129, a.k.a. Macey Lane.
Faiella is the owner of SAGE Art Academy in Pueblo and has been spending half her time in Westcliffe the last couple of years. “As a professional painter and art educator who is from Pennsylvania and then New York I absolutely am beyond inspired here! I decided to open a new creative space out here in Westcliffe, called SAGE West ARTstudio; and in our barn’s tack room, I opened a cute little gallery called the TACK Gallery” she explained in correspondence with the Tribune.
The upcoming art show will feature new painting by Faiella along with steel sculptures by Dave Clippenger and precious gem works by Marty Houholis.
The opening reception on August 1 is from 4 to 8 p.m. The open house on August 2 is from noon to 5 p.m.
Faiella hopes to offer art lessons for kids ages 4+ and adults and also host Plein Air painting events.
