6/7/2018 Members of Class of ‘68 to be honored at Alumni Reunion
It’s going to be back-to-school, so to speak, next Saturday, June 16, for all former students of the C-1 Custer County School district. The 44th annual CCHS Alumni Reunion will be held this year at a new venue, Lange Hall adjacent to Hope Lutheran Church in Westcliffe. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Anyone who attended CCHS is welcome to join in the fun, whether or not they graduated here. Family members and friends, as well as school board members, staff, administrators and teachers, past or present, are all welcome. The cost for the dinner will be $20 per person. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance; please contact Rhonda (Berry) Patterson at 783-2713 or via email at tilli25@hotmail.com. Special guests will be members of the Golden Class of 1968. The surviving members of that class are Don Blei, Bill Canda, Robert Chadwick, Linda (Kleine) Herrick, Lois (Godbersen) Merezko, Vickie (Kastendieck) Patterson, Leslie (Engelman) Piquette, Claricy (Schulze) Rusk, Dorothy (Borges) Sanchez, Janie (Seifert) Schlosser, Steve Schlosser, Mike Tihonovich, Myrtle (Berry) Whitcomb and Peggy (Lewis) Wills. The deceased members of the class are Ronald Wamboldt and Ken Davis. Also to be honored will be members of the 60-year and 70-year classes of 1958 and 1948. Known survivors of the Class of ’58 are Alice (Benson) Berry, William Cress, Alice (Dieckman) French, Laverne Hanssen, Linda (Luthi) Kellerman, Ralph Squire, Carolyn (Zulch) Staley-Johns, and Sharon (Lowney) Vickerman. Known survivors of the 70-year Class of ’48 are Mary (Kelling) Gretton, Wilma (Miller) Kattnig, Kenneth Plant, Donald Sparling, Robert Sparling, and Georgia (Crabtree) Wadsworth. Membership dues in the alumni association are $5 which are added to the organization’s annual scholarship fund. Set-up for Saturday’s banquet will be held on Friday, June 15, at 1 p.m. Anyone interested in helping out is invited to drop by Lange Hall.
